At some point in our lives most of us, if not all of us, will need help with everyday living because of an illness or a disability, because we are getting older, or because we are caring for someone.

Our objective is to identify and market commercial services that generate a material financial contribution to the council's finances. 

​The service is much wider than council housing, and includes community development, private sector housing, homelessness, housing support.

The Chief Executive Directorate leads our organisation with a focus on innovation and collaboration. We strive for excellence and aim to create a positive impact with integrity.

The services provided by the Environment Directorate touch the lives of everyone who lives in, works in and visits the Dudley borough.

This Directorate incorporates public health, emergency planning and community resilience, environmental health and trading standards.

The Children's Services directorate has responsibility for early help, prevention, education, Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and social care and safeguarding services. 

The Finance and Legal Directorate has a key role in ensuring that we are a dynamic and sustainable organisation capable of achieving the aims of the Council Plan and ultimately on realising its Future Council vision by 2030.

A key strategic aim for the directorate is delivering inward investment and regeneration projects, promoting Dudley, the Black Country and West Midlands as a destination to live, work, invest in and visit.
